Oregon Grape Root (Mahonia aquifolium)

A highly anti-fungal plant ally I personally used to treat my own Lyme Disease in 2023 in conjunction with other plants.

This plant does not only serve as an anti-fungal but as a liver tonic as well. This powerful root medicine, harvested in Winter, helps bile production. (Their potent yellow coloring is an indicator of that!) It elevates liver function since it metabolizes toxins and waste.

This plant is oftentimes used as an alternative to Goldenseal since Goldenseal is an endangered plant!

I will reach for this plant as well if my thyroid is hypoactive (under acting), There are very few contraindications for this plant, and I suggest working with it during the Fall and Winter months!
